Lutron builds the hardware. Our work is making it fit the house you live in: the panel in the mechanical room, the keypad your daughter presses on her way to bed. A Lutron dealer in Columbus and Raleigh.
Buy lighting and shades separately and you end up with two apps and two remotes in a drawer. Lutron runs both on a single processor, so one press dims the kitchen and drops the shades on the west glass at the same instant. The radio is Lutron's own Clear Connect, which stays off your Wi-Fi and keeps answering when the router reboots at 3 a.m. If you want the room-by-room version of what that feels like, read Light & Shade.
HomeWorks is the top of the Lutron line, and it's what goes into homes where the lighting gets designed alongside the architecture. Dimming lives in a panel in the mechanical room rather than in the wall boxes, so your electrician pulls standard homeruns and we take it from there. One processor carries hundreds of circuits and every shade in the house, with each keypad engraved so the buttons read Kitchen and Evening instead of nothing at all. We specify it on new construction and on renovations deep enough to see framing.
Not every home needs a panel in the basement. RA3 keeps the dimming in the wall box and talks over the same Clear Connect radio, so a whole first floor goes from plain switches to real scenes in about two days with no drywall opened. It handles up to a hundred devices. Start with the kitchen and the great room. Add the primary suite next year.
Lutron hardware ends up on the wall beside your tile and your paint, so we treat it like the rest of the finish schedule. Palladiom keypads sit flush in the drywall with no visible frame, in metals that match your plumbing and your cabinet pulls. Buttons get engraved with the words your family already uses. Five gangs of switches by the back door become one keypad with four labeled buttons, and nobody stands there guessing which one runs the island.
The motor sits sealed inside the roller tube, which is why a bank of shades across a great room travels at about the volume of a page turning. Alignment is the real tell: Lutron holds every hem bar in a row to within an eighth of an inch, so the line across your glass stays level the whole way down. Fabrics run from a light filter that keeps the view to a blackout liner for the room where somebody sleeps in on Saturday. Wired shades go in during rough-in. Battery shades go into finished rooms with nothing opened. Homeowners in Raleigh and Columbus both get the same measure-it-ourselves rule.
Ketra fixtures shift color and brightness through the day on their own. Morning arrives cool and bright the way real daylight does. By nine at night those same downlights have drifted to a candle-warm amber and your shoulders drop before you notice why. Every fixture holds its color for the life of the lamp, so the ceiling still matches years later.
Anyone can buy a dimmer at the hardware store. Lutron ships its whole-home systems only through dealers it trains and audits, and the training is where the value shows up. Our programmers write the logic and commission the panel by hand, and when something odd happens at seven on a Friday during startup, Lutron's engineering line picks up for us. Warranty claims come through us rather than landing on you. Years later the same office still holds your file, so a keypad relabel is a phone call rather than an excavation.
We install Lutron across central Ohio and the Raleigh Triangle, from Columbus new builds where the load schedule gets drawn before framing to Raleigh homes that have been lived in for a decade. Lighting carries the rest of the house with it: climate and automation on the same keypad, and a network underneath that never becomes the reason a scene fails. Send plans or send photos, and we'll tell you which Lutron line the house wants.

Send us the plans if you're building, or photos of the switch walls if you're already living there. We'll come back with the Lutron line that fits the house, where the panel lands, and what the keypads say.
