Control4 · Design, Install, Service

Certified Control4 dealer for Columbus and Raleigh homes.

One button by the back door puts the house to bed. The movie starts without anyone hunting for a second remote, and the porch is already lit when you pull in. We design the system around the way your family moves through the house, then we build it and stay with it.

Design

We design the system around the way your family lives.

Before a single piece of equipment gets picked, we ask how the house gets used. Who's up first. Which door everyone really comes through. Where the kids do homework. What a Saturday with twelve people over looks like. Then we draw the system to match: where the keypads land, which rooms want a touchscreen on the wall, what one press does at the back door at eleven at night. Control4 is the engine underneath. The design is the part you feel every day, and it's what separates a smart home control system from a pile of parts. See it room by room in Light & Shade and Sound & Screen.

One interface

Lighting, music, video, climate. One place.

The lights, the music, the TVs, the thermostats, and the cameras at the doors all answer to the same keypad on the wall, the same touchscreen in the hall, and the same app on your phone. Learn it once in the kitchen and you already know it in the primary bath. Guests work it out without asking anyone. That's what a Control4 dealer is really selling you: one way to run the house instead of a drawer full of remotes and a phone full of logins.

Scenes

One press, and the room is ready.

Press Watch in the media room and the lights fade, the screen drops, the receiver switches inputs, and the shades close behind you. Press Goodnight by the bed and the house goes dark from the basement up while the doors lock themselves. The buttons are engraved with what they do, so nobody in the house needs a manual, and every scene gets tuned by hand to your rooms before we hand it over.

Rooms

Every room on the same system.

A Control4 installer earns the job in the rooms you use every day, not on a spec sheet. Here's what one system looks like once it's spread across a house: the great room, the lounge, the bedroom at midnight, and the rack in the basement doing the quiet work.

Install

Racks wired clean, and left documented.

Open the rack in one of our homes five years from now and it reads like a book. Every cable combed, labeled at both ends, and drawn on a diagram that stays with the house. Our own crews handle Control4 installation in Columbus and every Control4 installer job across the Raleigh Triangle, so the people who drew the plan are the people who pull the wire. Clean work isn't for show. It's what makes year six cheap instead of painful.

New build or finished house

Built during framing. Or fitted after you've moved in.

On a new build we walk the plans with your builder and pull every run before insulation, when the paths are still open and the network can be sized for the whole house. In a home you already live in, wireless keypads and dimmers work off the wiring that's there, and the rack finds a closet. Both are our work. One takes a set of plans, the other takes a walkthrough.

Service

Control4 programming that keeps up with you.

Houses change. A TV gets replaced, a kid takes over the guest room, the evening scene wants to land half an hour earlier once November hits. Most of that we handle from our office through 4Sight, Control4's remote access service, which is also what lets you check the house from a hotel in another time zone. What can't be fixed remotely gets a visit from someone who already knows your rack. Years after the final walkthrough, the same number still works: 844-999-8558.

The long view

We pick up calls that start with the same sentence: the company that installed this system is gone. We build the system so the next technician can read it, and we plan on being the one who shows up. Start a conversation.

Questions

What people ask us.

What does a Control4 dealer do that buying the equipment online doesn't?
The hardware is the small part. A certified dealer designs the system for your floor plan, pulls and terminates the wire, then writes the programming that decides what every button does in every room. Buy a controller online and you own a box that can do anything, which means it does nothing until someone teaches it your house. That teaching is the job, and it's why Control4 sells through dealers in the first place.
What does a Control4 system cost?
It scales with the house and with how much you want it to do. A single media room with lighting and audio sits at one end. A whole home running lighting, shades, cameras, climate, and music in every room sits at the other. We walk the house, listen to what matters to you, and put a fixed number in the proposal before anyone orders equipment. Nothing gets added after the fact without your sign-off.
Can Control4 be added to a house that's already built?
Yes. Wireless keypads and dimmers go in on the wiring you already have, shades run on batteries that last years, and a touchscreen goes in where an old thermostat or intercom used to sit. New construction gives us more to work with because we can pull wire before drywall. A finished house takes a walkthrough and a plan.
Why one system instead of a separate app for every device?
Because the apps don't talk to each other. The lock app doesn't know the lights exist, the shade app has never heard of the thermostat, and every one of them wants a login your spouse doesn't have. Control4 puts all of it under one roof, so pressing Goodnight means goodnight for the whole house. One keypad and one app, and the family only learns it once.
What happens to Control4 when the internet goes out?
The house keeps running. The controller lives in your equipment rack, so scenes, schedules, keypads, and handheld remotes all work off the local network with no connection to the outside world. You lose remote access from your phone until service returns, along with anything that streams. Lights, shades, climate, and locks carry on like nothing happened.

Getting started

Tell us how you live. We'll design the system.

Send the plans if you're building, or a few photos of the rooms you have now. We'll mark up keypad locations, touchscreens, and where the rack lands, then walk it with you at whatever stage the house is in.
