We put technology into homes where everything is expected to work perfectly, and where people aren't shy about saying so when it doesn't. The work is real. The standards are high.

About Connesso

Connesso designs and installs whole-home technology across Columbus and Raleigh. Audio and video, lighting control, networking, security, shades, automation.

We were recently named to the CE Pro 100, which puts us among the top hundred integration firms in the country. That's a milestone, not a ceiling. We're growing across two markets with national expansion ahead, and we're building the team to get there.

Technician

Columbus, OH and Raleigh, NC. Full-time, in person.

$25 to $40 per hour

We keep this role open year-round in both markets. When we meet someone good, we hire them.

What you'll do

  • Pull, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling. Category, fiber, speaker, Lutron, Crestron.
  • Mount the devices at the ends of those wires.
  • Build and lace equipment racks.
  • Set up and configure devices, including the advanced work.
  • Understand and troubleshoot networks.
  • Program Lutron, Control4, Savant, Crestron, and Josh.ai.
About the band.

Where you land comes down to programming. If you can program these systems, you're at the top of it. If you can't yet, you start lower and we'll teach you. We'd rather say that plainly now than surprise you at an offer.

Your schedule.

Full-time, 40 hours a week. Four ten-hour days through the summer.

Who does well

You're motivated and trustworthy. Hungry to learn. You'd rather be in the field than behind a desk, and you've always wanted to know how things work.

You've spent time on construction sites. You can climb a ladder, pull cable, and handle power and hand tools. Your work history is steady, roughly two years between moves. You bring energy, and you read a room well.

Where people come from

Most of our technicians didn't start here. They came from:

If that's you, apply. The systems are learnable. The trade instincts are harder to teach.

What you get

You'll need a valid driver's license. Offers are contingent on a driving record review and a background check.
